Dr. Shanmugamurthy Lakshmanan
Dr. Shanmugamurthy Lakshmanan is a Research Scientist at Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts. His research focus is on Nanotechnology and Siddha- Ayurveda Photomedicine. He is the Vice President for International Research, a Distinguished Scientific Advisor and Head of the Indian Division of Sciences for the World Institute for Scientific Exploration. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of two peer reviewed international journals: 1) Ancient Science and 2) Ayurveda. He is also the Chair of the Research and Development division of the Association of the Ayurvedic Physicians of North America(AAPNA-Harvard branch). Recently he received the Aryabhatta Award from AAPNA in recognition of his break-through research in Ayurveda. Inspired by Sage-Scientist Vethathiri Maharishi’s effort towards bridging Physics with Philosophy, he established the World Community Service Center-USA in 2005. He is now building ancient Science curriculum with the help of his MIT and Yale collaborators.
